Like most mom's I like to be the first up in the morning to have some time to sit in silence. I have my spot on the sectional couch that everyone knows is mine. Its nice and worn out and I LOVE it! Its a time for reflection or just simply mindlessly scrolling through social media, mostly the later. Staring at our wood fire place, that we never use, just makes me feel so relaxed for some reason. I think of how many times and how many different ways I have decorated it for Halloween, Christmas etc. I fell in love with the dry stack river rock from the first day and will now always have a wood fire place laid out just like that. It won't be too long before we leave it behind and that thought makes me sad. All the memories built around this one corner of our home. We have a wood burning stove and it creates so much warmth that we don't need the fire place. So I threw some stringed lights in it to give it a nice little glow up.
